Our Story
A Tradition Born in Tokyo, Bloomed in Miami
Sakura Sushi Bar was founded in 2012 with a singular mission: to bring the authentic flavors of Japan to the heart of Miami's vibrant Wynwood district.
Our chefs trained in Osaka and Tokyo for years before bringing their mastery to Florida. We source our fish daily from trusted suppliers and prepare every dish with meticulous attention to detail.
The name "Sakura" — cherry blossom — represents the beauty in simplicity, the passing seasons, and the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi: finding perfection in imperfection.
