Our Story
Chef Arjun Patel left Mumbai in 2009 carrying only his grandmother's handwritten recipe book and a suitcase of whole spices. His family had cooked for three generations in a small tali restaurant in Dadar, and he was determined to share that legacy with the world.
He found a home in Miami's vibrant Doral neighborhood — a city that reminded him of Mumbai in its energy and diversity. Masala Palace opened in 2012, and it has been a beloved institution ever since.
Every spice we use is sourced directly from trusted farmers in Kerala, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. Our masalas are ground fresh each morning. Nothing comes from a jar.
